He guys, I'm here listening to the debate and all I can think about is should I take the time to learn Ocaml. Always seems like there is not enough time in the day to be come an expert in one language to pick up another language. All of my focus has been on python and trying to become a better python programmer.
Today I came across Ocaml, Objective C Meta Language. Now I want to learn that. But how do I continure to improve my Python skills while learning Ocaml????
I would love to here your comments.....

I've been using/learning OpenSolaris for the past week and WoW it is a complete different world then Linux.. For example I miss my GNU commands.
- Non GNU grep does not have the -r option that I use in the gnu version which is ggrep
- Non GNU sed compared to gsed.
- Non GNU tar does not have gzip integrated as the gtar does have it.

Wow this was a real mission for me and a learning experience... I'm updating you from my OpenSolaris box right now :)..... Essentially in a nutshell, I had to run /usr/X11R6/bin/scanpci -v to find out what typ of network card I had installed (NVIDIA MCP61). I then googled that on the net and it returned this wonderful link "http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/nfo-2.6.0.tar.gz" . This driver was the missing link in my quest to get networking.
I will create a tutorial on howto setup networking under OpenSolaris in a few hours after I get a nap.
